Not everybody use a profile-url like: http://steamcommunity.com/[u]id[/u]/[String]/
The pattern https://steamcommunity.com/[u]profiles[/u]/[Number]/ is possible, too.
Of course it is possible to create an id-URL in the profile-settings. But not everyone want (or know) it.
Btw. that's why I could not specify my steam profile in the SGC-profile.
(Although I just saw that the specification in the profile settings are not displayed in the profile anyway
)
